Brent -Accomplishments of the first weekend of 2021

 

Bought a humidifier and got my wooden board straightened out for which I was making a set of shelves.

Took car to get a new window that was shot out while on the street. Went to a place called Raul's Auto Glass.  It only cost $133.00   Plus they had it in stock and I only waited an hour.  The places before that either had to order it or the price was $280.00

James came home from Omaha yesterday, with his homecoming talk tomorrow in Church.

Temple Saturday!

Hey everyone! I just wanted to let you all know that Saturday, September 25th, I will be going through the Bountiful Temple to receive my endowments. Guests can come at 9:30 if anyone is interested in going. Sandy and Grandma are also going. We will be having lunch after.

What's Up!

Hi to everyone from Kevin Jr. and Liz and the kids! Just posting a quick update for everyone.

Liz's entertainment blog has moved to a new website at http://thingslizloves.blogspot.com so you can go to that URL and follow the blog. She hopes to get a simple dot-com domain name for it soon with the revenue from the ads on the site.

Kevin is adjusting well to working on day shift. The rest of the family is about 8 million times happier since Kevin is around more often. His work is hosting the company Lagoon day this Saturday (Aug. 14, 2010) so we will be taking the kids for a day of rides and fun!

Liz is preparing to go through the Temple very soon. She has completed the temple prep classes and is going to be interviewing for her recommend in the next couple of weeks, so things are moving along very quickly! Since we are still waiting for approval for Kevin's baptism, we still have a while before we can plan a sealing, but we will keep you all posted on the progress.

Our family "staycation"

So these past few days were pretty fun for the Brent and Beverly Shedden family. Yesterday, (Friday July 30) we all went up to the "This is the place Monument" The kids were a little nervous as they didn't know what to expect...maybe nervous isn't an accurate word...more like "do we really have to go?" kind of an attitude. Anyway...when we got there and the first thing we could do was ride the train...they were all over it! We were able to pan for gold, walk through some shops and homes, go on a pony ride, do a craft, ride the mini train and ride the big train again. It was lots and lots of fun. I will post pics later. Today, we left for Seven Peaks Water Park down in Provo. Not a very friendly family place...I was kind of disappointed. But...none the less...the kids all had a great time.

It tood me 15 minutes to figure out how to post a blog...

Seriously...it took me 15 minutes to figure out how to get to this screen to post something. I was just about to go look for a copy of "blogging for dummies" and see if there were basic instructions. I wish there was a "post news" button in which it would come right here to this area for me to post. That would be too easy, though. Anyway...glad I figure it out and hope I can remember the process for next time!

Little faith-promoting experience

I was sweltering and starving in my unairconditioned office an hour ago. So I prayed for some money, food or air conditioning (I figured I could give Him plenty of options).  I went to the fridge for the 3rd time. And then, noticed the little freezer door. I opened it up and found some Popsicles that were brought over last week. This is the second time in a week that I have had a prayer answered positively, so fast.

Yummy Pizza

Kim has been trying out new recipes lately and we have been the lucky recipients to taste it. Today, Kim made yummy homemade pizza. It was delish!!! She also makes a killer oatmeal cake. She has made for us chocolate caramel brownies as well. I hope her next recipe is cookies and cream icecream pie. I will let you all know!!!
